More than 90% of surveyed Ontario online players chose regulated sites

Research released in May 2026 indicates that a growing share of Ontario online gamblers are choosing regulated websites. The Ipsos study was commissioned by iGaming Ontario and AGCO.

The rate reached 91.1%

Among respondents who said they gambled online, 91.1% reported using regulated sites, 7.4 percentage points above the previous year.

Regulation adds safeguards

Regulated operators must follow provincial standards covering player protection and account controls. Regulation does not remove financial risk.
